We have Linksys WAP54G's connecting from our high school to the stadium. There
is a mode that can be configured to make it very secure, and it just works. I
would say it is going about half a mile or so, and just keeps on working. I am
pretty surprised for the little bit of cost we have in it

How about DSL instead of wireless? Although that would be a monthly
bill. We ended up having a local company put dark fiber to our bus barn
from one of the nearby elementary schools. It cost us $5,000.00 about
what 6 years of DSL would have cost but we don't have the monthly bill
and out VOIP phone
We used Motorola 25 Mb units to connect our Newell and Fonda buildings this
last year, and they worked awesome. Might be overkill for 150 yards. I do
still have the old Cisco Aeronet (sp?) 11 Mb units we took out and replaced
with the Motorola radios. I have the wireless units and the antenna
