Dear Hine, I've been working with bootstrap for responsive design and the django plugin django-boostrap is a very interesting intergration. I should be more able to help you implement this design if it's based on boostrap than before.
Please let me know which is most interesting for you to work on. This sounds counter to what I said before, so it is still true that app pages could do with design attention and your design work would be most welcome there.
