Hi,
I am not really sure if I understand you. I wrote that directory
'reloc' is empty, so I don't know how to do this step:
# edit SUNWslim-utils/reloc/foo.txt

Good to know. Thanks for explanation.

Sorry, you're right. Here's the mistake:

"find ." will prepend "./" to all the paths. Instead,
Hello,
I need to edit package SUNWslim-utils (add translated strings for
Desktop Icons in LiveCD)
This package can be found in
"/net/paradise.sfbay/export/integrate_dock/nv/nv_osol0811/i386"
I am able to extract "SUNWslim-utils/archive/none.bz2" :
sh-3.2# bunzip2 none.bz2
sh-3.2# cpio -id < none
I just rebooted my system. Now it doesn't boot into the original
boot environment either. :-(
FYI, when booting it says:
cpu: 'GenuineIntel' family 15 model 2 step 7
amd64: CPU does NOT support long mode
amd64: CPU does not support amd64 executables.
...
Loading '/platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_ar
Hi,
You might want to take a look at this. In essence you just need to build a
custom miniroot to include the HP arrays drivers.
Cheers

Others have said that this isn't your IPS problem, but here's how you do it:
# ls -CF
SUNWslim-utils/
# edit SUNWslim-utils/reloc/foo.txt
# pkgchk -d. SUNWslim-utils
#
Note that procedurally this is a really bad idea and is for emergency
use only. If you're assembling a package for distribut
I'm not sure what's going on here, but it has nothing to do with the
checksum -- the import code doesn't ever look at the checksum.
The code determines what classes are in the archive by looking at the
"faspac" property in the pkginfo file. If there are files it expects to
find in the archive but
