In our iOS builds we use our own .plist files. They are included in the
.pro file by
QMAKE_INFO_PLIST = $$_PRO_FILE_PWD_/Info.plist
The .plist file looks like:
"http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd";>
CFBundleDevelopmentRegion
en
CFBundleDisplayName

There is a way using QMAKE_SUBSTITUTES (https://forum.qt.io/post/546870)
But I would prefer a more simple way.
