Well we have waited long enough for a fix for re2c, but Johannes and I
(based on Scott's advice) have now decided that we can live with the
current hack that simply reverts to PHP 5.2 behavior (slower parsing,
only relevant for people not using a byte code cache) when re2c fails

GMP is present now, using MIPR instead of libgmp (no licensing issue).
I won't do anything more about firebird, I know that some people are
trying to get it build but I'm not too optimistic about
