Essential Functions:
- The client is looking for SENIOR .NET developers to do both new developments on special projects as well as be expecting to work on with support to do break fix work on other corporate web development applications.
- At first, the candidates will start out doing break fix but once they can prove themselves in both technical expertise and as a collaborative team partner to the lead they will move into doing more development.
- This person will need to be strong in C#/ ASP.NET and SQL development.
- Majority of the Clients applications are web base but there are a couple of large WinForms applications.
- This person will be designing, developing, and supporting custom .Net applications in a leveraged .Net web application environment, following the client’s standards and best practices.
- 7+yrs of web or desktop application development and support experience
- 7+using Visual Studio, ASP.Net, C#, SQL, XML, _javascript_, CSS, DHTML,
- 7+HTML, Java or other object-oriented language
- 5+yrs of experience working with relational databases with strong SQL
- 5+and stored procedure development knowledge
- Ability and willingness to provide day-to-day 24x7 application support
- Writing maintainable code using Microsoft's .Net technologies and tools (Visual Studio Team Systems and Team Foundation Server).
- Using Clients change management processes to prevent disruptions and outages.
- Working with Business Analysts and Solution Integrators to understand business requirements in order to provide time assessments and create technical designs.
- Creating and updating documentation for ongoing support of web applications.
- Researching and recommending solutions that best meet the business needs and Enterprise operational requirements.
- Providing day-to-day 24x7 application support for .Net desktop and web applications.
- The web development team is a leveraged model where each developer or developers in the group will be allocated to impact large enterprise application
- Development efforts for the Commercial, Upstream or Internal Business groups just depending on which team the candidate is hired to.
- The bulk of their development is heavy SQL backend as the developers will be responsible for database development writing a lot of stored procedures
