Understanding of design patterns Notes/updates after my meeting with Bilal.

We decided to have candidates rank themselves 1-10 on the technical skills?
As well, he's really looking for an overall score of 80% or above. See list
below and have candidate rank himself.

Some other key things we discussed: This is an Agile environment and they
should have experience working in this environment. You cannot hide or fly
under the radar in this environment.

Every morning each person talks about what they did the day
before/status/issues/etc.

Great team of about 15 folks. Mostly contractors.

Bilal has been there for 9 months and a major asset to the team,
implementing Agile processes, and managing the contractors and now he's
doing the interviewing/hiring for this team.

He said, Diana is fantastic and one of the best managers he's ever worked
for.

Contractors need to be super strong in their technical expertise, because
they will not get hand holding.

Everyone needs to hit the ground running.

This is a team of senior developers, without titles and egos (everyone is
strong), they must hold their and work independently. They team is really
strong, everyone works well together, everyone has a chance to be a strong
contributor and shine.

He will give coaching and guidance if needed but in the end if they cannot
contribute they will be cut.

He will however, give credit to someone with passion...feeling if they have
the passion we can teach a technical skill.

This project is pure mobile apps. They do hire both front and back-end
developers.

His most current and pressing need is a back-end developer but we should
share all rocks stars with him.

High profile in nature, hot current technology and projects. The team
specifically works on: CEO Mobile services.

Mobile access lets (Wholesale/Commercial) customers monitor accounts,
approve transactions, and make important banking decisions in regards to
Money Movement.

Also, includes security such as secure sessions, advanced encryption,
authentication, and stringent access controls.

Features: Check balances in corporate accounts Monitor intraday account
activity Initiate wires (template and free form)

Approve and reject outgoing wires See controlled disbursement totals View
fraud tool exceptions and submit pay or return decisions Administer users
and reset passwords Access our Basic Banking service Reset rates on certain
types of corporate loans Expect the phone screen to be technical in nature.

If they say they have it on their resume they better be able to speak to it
on the phone screen.

For example, if they have Web Services on their resume they certainly
should be able to explain what's Web Services.

If it is clear in the first 10 mins that a candidates skills/experience is
not strong enough or a match he'll cut the interview short.

No need to waste anyone's time. Candidates need to be local.

*Please have candidate rank these: *

*Java Struts Weblogic XML Eclipse WebServices Agile (either rank or provide
some context around their level of hands on experience).*

Thanks And Regards,
