*MAC/Mobility Design Engineer* *Roseland, NJ* *6+ months Contract to Hire* *GC and US citizens only* *Best rate* *Phone hire only * We are looking for a Desktop operating system subject matter expert with Apple platforms system software research, engineering implementation and maintenance in support of business initiatives. This position will create MAC automated builds using latest technologies and provide Level III support for MAC build and related issue. The Associate will also be responsible for for the general Design of our associate platforms, which include Apple (iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Airbook), Blackberry, Jamf Casper, MDM - Airwatch, Citrix Sharefile, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: *Key Technologies*:• Operating Systems: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, and Windows 2008 R2, Apple (iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Airbook), Blackberry, Jamf Casper, MDM - Airwatch, Citrix Sharefile, etc. Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard Client and Server. Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, and Windows 2008 R2 is a plus Hardware: IBM Servers, Dell Servers, Bladecenters, Apple Xserve, Desktops, Notebooks, Thin Clients, and various mobile devices Communication• *Required Technologies:* Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Operating Systems installation and configuration (USMT, ACT), Application and Hardware Integration, Workstation, Laptop and Server build automation, Application Installation automation, OS/Application Streaming Technologies, Application Integration Tools such as Wise Package Studio or SMS Installer, Visual Basic and various scripting tools, SCCM 2007, WSUS, Windows Activation (MAK\KMS), Apple AFP, Time Machine and System Image Utility• Basic Understanding: Active Directory, IIS, WINS, DNS, SAN Technologies, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP, Clustering, and SQL *Essential Responsibilities and Qualifications:* 1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience. Must have 7 years total experience in end user computing. 2. 4+ years in a systems engineer role Proficiency with MAC operating systems (Windows is a plus). 3. Proficiency with networking protocols and implementations Scripting experience in Linux (and Windows environments is a plus) 4. Work as part of the end point engineering team to develop automated builds for all supported MAC (and Windows is a plus) operating systems using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and other standard tools. The Windows builds must support all of our standard desktop, laptop, server hardware, and virtualization platforms. Develop automated builds for the Apple platform. 5. Provide Level III support for build related questions. 6. Work as part of the VDI team to engineer solutions and provide Level III support when required. 7. Provide application compatibility guidance for the Windows and Mac operating systems. Integrate and automate third-party applications for Windows and Mac operating systems. 8. Evaluate, integrate, maintain, and support Windows and Mac system solutions based on Distributed Systems platforms (Windows, Mac), connectivity (LAN/WAN, SAN) and related system software. Utilize scripting and automation tools for the implementation of desired solutions and understand their administrative requirements. 9. Understand installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, computer hardware, peripherals, networks, and systems communications. 10. Develop and implement automated procedures and technical documentation for Windows system implementation, rollout and maintenance. 11. Work with internal groups such as Development, QA, Business Units, and Support, as needed. 12. Produce technical documentation, test plans, performance benchmarks, and perform other related duties as assigned. 13. Working knowledge in key technologies 14. Physical to Virtual desktop migrations a big plus 15.
