Please include your employer details as well. *Release Engineer* *Chelmsford, MA * *6+ month Contract* *Telephonic+ face to face* *Required skills:* · 3+ years’ experience as a Release Engineer · Strong Jenkins experience · Experience working with a Java code base and Java technologies · SQL Server experience · Experience working with a code repository (ideally TFS but others such as Git and SVN are acceptable) · Scripting experience *Job Description* *Release Engineer* *This is a 6+ month contract position with the possibility for extension.* *Here are the details:* *Description of Project for Release Engineer:* Create/maintain framework for application build and deployment processes, following best practices for build and setup and configuring entities and applications as required. Manage Code Repository by: maintaining code repository in TFS, performing and administering database baseline, improving practices of branching and code merge, establishing process control points and configuring TFS reporting suite to custom needs of development team. Be part of Agile SCRUM and Kanban teams, understanding the Agile process, follow the process to provide builds as needed at each layer of the release cycle. Improve Setup and Build Process by automating setup and build related tasks, re-engineering setup for better user experience, leading up to building a continuous integration system for all our products. Work with all teams to build best-practice agile release processes, such as release trains, code coverage, and continuous integration.
