Hi, *Job Title* : Risk Business Analyst *Location* : NYC/NY Duration : 6 Months *MOI : Telephonic + F2F* *Risk Business Analyst* A leading International investment bank is undertaking a number of major traded risk projects and has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst to participate in large scale business and technology projects driven by regulatory change. As a Business Analyst, you will utilize your strong product knowledge and market risk knowledge, as well as a your structured project management capability, to plan and scope concerning VaR, Basel III, stress testing, and the Greeks, execute on them, and track risks and issues and manage senior stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Direct exposure to derivatives products, FX and Interest Rate market risk, and experience as a business analyst for risk and trading systems; • Strong Business Analysis skills in a relevant field (risk, front office function in a leading financial institution), including writing of Business Requirements and Test documents, and execution of user testing; • Knowledge of market risk measures and techniques (Greeks, Stress, VaR), preferably in Interest Rates • Understanding and experience with project lifecycle; ability to establish and maintain project discipline. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills: attention to detail; Talent for presenting complex issues in a concise and understandable format. • Quantitative data analysis skills (Excel / Access / VBA / SQL) are a must • Direct business analysis experience for risk management systems (e.g. front office pricing platforms, Monte Carlo risk systems, or market risk VaR systems, Regulatory requirements) • Project management experience in leading individual projects • Extensive market risk management knowledge (VaR methodologies, scenarios/stress testing, sensitivities/Greeks) • An individual with previous Risk experience in a risk management, risk production function, or as a risk business analyst. • Self-sufficient, will have a drive to learn, generate ideas and use initiative. You will have first-class communication skills and ability to highlight and escalate project risks and issues. In addition you should be well versed in investigating issues, documenting findings and resolution approaches. *Derivatives Business Analyst - Operations* A leading International investment bank is undertaking a number of major traded risk projects and has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst to participate in large scale business and technology projects driven by regulatory change. As a Business Analyst, you will utilize your strong product knowledge and operations knowledge, as well as a your structured project management capability, to plan and scope development of key functions in the global operations for swap transactions as well as FX, exchange traded futures and options including confirmation and settlement of all OTC post-settlement lifecycle payments. Preferred Qualifications • Direct exposure to derivatives products, Swaps, FX and Interest Rate, and experience as a business analyst for operations of risk and trading systems; • Strong Business Analysis skills in a relevant field (operations or middle office function in a leading financial institution related to derivative instruments or Investment Management or global custody), including writing of Business Requirements and Test documents, and execution of user testing; • Knowledge of derivative instruments, including swaps preferably Interest Rates. • Understanding and experience with project lifecycle; ability to establish and maintain project discipline. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills: attention to detail; Talent for presenting complex issues in a concise and understandable format. • Quantitative data analysis skills (Excel / Access / VBA / SQL) are a must • Direct business analysis experience for operations including reconciliation, settlement, collateral, margining for derivatives including Regulatory requirements. • Project management experience in leading individual projects • Previous experience with valuation/positions, margin disputes, post-settlement lifecycle payments including interest rate, and total return swaps • Self-sufficient, will have a drive to learn, generate ideas and use initiative. You will have first-class communication skills and ability to highlight and escalate project risks and issues.
