May require on call responsibilities. Database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem diagnosis and resolution are all critical functions that the database administrator performs. 1. Manage all aspects of the physical database including schema’s, DDL, users, security, etc. in development, UAT and production environments 2. Identify and resolve problems occurring in all database environments including performance related issues (i.e. database & SQL tuning). 3. Perform database software installs, configurations, patches, and upgrades. 4. Support DBA utilities, reorgs, index builds, etc and DBA tools, Oracle Enterprise Manager, etc. experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, working directly with Oracle 10g , 11g and 12c.
