The infrastructure architect: • Excellent verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines required • Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment pertaining to operating procedures and projects • Is a technical expert contributor in infrastructure, systems engineering and operations. • Acts independently with little direction supporting the system engineering, hosting and system services, networking, application development, and PMO teams. • Performs the necessary coordination, facilitation, analysis and design tasks related to the development of an enterprise technical architecture. • The technical architect will assume the primary responsibility and ownership for all enterprise technology architectures. This includes creating optimum technical solutions, meeting / exceeding requirements, ensuring system security, quality, robust performance, and flexibility for future change. Qualification: • 10+ years experience and working knowledge of enterprise-wide Linux/Unix (RHEL. AIX and Solaris) infrastructure architecture and engineering. o 5+ years experience in VMware. o 10+ years Server/OS Architecture and Engineering level knowledge in large heterogeneous environments; hands-on experience. o 10+ years sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills o 10+ years experience in multiple operating systems, network protocols and hardware virtualization technologies, including initial system design, deployment, and maintenance o 10+ years of broad technical knowledge of current emerging technologies, including but not limited to virtual technologies, cloud storage, enterprise file sharing, data encryption, and data migration techniques. o 10+ years of strong communication skills, including written and verbal presentations o 10+ years of experience in IBM AIX PowerHA, GPFS, Power Systems Architecture and Engineering.
