Involved in managing projects, training, support and implementation of applications *Primary responsibilities/essential functions:* *Partners with clients to define scope and objectives based on business needs and thorough understanding of end-to-end business processes. Contributes to discussions and forums for the creation and execution of business and technology roadmaps and overall **product management**. * · Leads requirements gathering sessions to evaluate and document existing business processes and future business needs for medium- to large-sized efforts. · Works with business users and IT management to define business cases based on defined scope. · Examines industry directions and trends and makes recommendations for ways to improve business processes and technology effectiveness. · Facilitates the evaluation of complex business processes and future business needs to identify opportunities for improvement through the use of technology, including re-engineering business processes. · Solves complex business problems through root cause analysis techniques. · Integrates all aspects of business systems analysis and design to meet business requirements overall product solution. *Works with development, engineering, and quality teams to drive solutions by communicating requirements and participating in complex systems/software design and architecture, prototyping and testing. * · Manages end to end product needs and solutions for business areas. o Translates complex business needs into functional and non-functional requirements including logical data models, reports and UI, and needed prototypes. · Contributes in technical design sessions to ensure technical architecture will address current and future business needs. · Evaluates solution alternatives including build, leverage and buy options and provides recommendations. · Analyzes complex data and system needs for development work. · Works with VMO and other groups to manage vendor relationships, SLA development and monitoring understanding vendor capabilities. · Understands industry perspective on cloud computing and security standards for viability and recommendation of product solutions. · Participates in the assessment of technical complexity and feasibility of integration implementation options. · Adheres to reference architecture standards and integration assets in proposing solution alternatives. · Works with appropriate team to perform test planning and participates in the preparation of functional test cases. · Performs and documents functional testing to validate business requirements and to verify build quality. *Manages projects and software releases and overall product quality delivery. o Monitors, controls and manages overall project execution, including budget, scope, structure, schedules, processes and resources. * · Coordinates team and stakeholder communications, including compiling agendas for standing meetings, creating project communications, status reports and facilitating project meetings. · Manages project risks and issues. · May engage with external vendors for the delivery of technology or services. · Participates in the creation of the business case and project proposal. *Serves as escalation support for systems/applications, and leads the development of user documentation and delivery of user training as needed. o Acts as a subject matter expert in the functional areas of the business, understanding workflow, data and supporting systems/applications to provide support to both the business and IT. * · Leads root cause analysis and provides recommendations for solutions of complex incidents. · Manages, prioritizes and maintains the product backlog of defects and enhancements. · Leads the development and execution of user documentation, training strategy, train the trainer and support for change management activities with the business. *Provides support and leadership in advancing the skill set and improving team practices and processes. o Identifies opportunities to enhance team practices and processes and drives adoption. * · Collaborates with team members and mentors less experienced BSAs. · Attends industry forums and participates in internal communities of practice and/or user groups.
