*Project Examples:*
- Multiple projects in queue, for which we are looking for a senior
architect to contribute in both the areas of technical execution as well as
strategic customer conversations. Sample projects representative of range
and breadth:
- Manufacturing QA Big Data system – managing Petabytes of PLC
(sensor data) and other datasets to merge into a Big Data analytics
platform for streamed/threaded analytics and predictive modeling
- Enterprise information and harmonization hubs (mix of enterprise
solution and databases, often along with Big Data platforms) to support
business process transformation, with new real-time data feeds that
integrate with enterprise data to support predictive models and analytics
- Implementation and setup of Spotfire and Tableau server
infrastructure & architecture components. Working with organizations to
understand how to leverage data and analytics through the tools,
model and
manage datasets within the tools, as well as extending the conversation
with customers to data harmonization, analytics, and architecture /
infrastructure / platform topics.
*Primary Responsibilities:*
We are looking for someone on the architecture and more technical side who
can navigate new technologies, and in some cases programming languages, to
help execute, drive, and support our practice offerings as we continue to
expand our “Big Data” and Advanced Analytics capabilities and offerings.
This person will need to understand how new technologies integrate and
cooperate to provide complete BI/BA solutions to our clients.
This role will include two primary components. Primary role will be
delivery-focused (#1), with additional practice-related activities (#2).
Initial split around 60/40, and will continue to be a more delivery-focused
role in 2015+.
1. *Delivery & Execution:*
Help determine appropriate architecture and technologies for project
implementations (wide range of activities, solutions, opportunities –
please see Sample Projects section below). Work with onshore/offshore team
to execute and implement. Additionally, develop and/or Lead
Proof-of-Concepts and demos with new market-leading technologies.
1. *Research, Strategy, Technical Integration:*
This person will also help refine our end-to-end service line / offering
and assist in determining strategic alliances as we continue to expand our
practice, as well as assisting with sales proposals and networking
activities.
*Skill Requirements:*
Desired experience 15+ years. (Minimum 8 years.)
*Desired Background:*
This person should have a strong background in BI / DataWarehousing
architecture, web-based technology and programming languages, understanding
of technical infrastructure components, and exposure to or interest in some
of the newer areas of Business Analytics and BIG DATA (e.g. Visualization
tools, Social Media / unstructured data management, possibly even
Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics). They will need to have exposure to
and ability to architect solutions and offerings across multiple
technologies and platforms.
*Required:*
- Solution Architect background (8+ years), can be aligned with any
major ERP suite (OBIEE, MS, MicroStrategy, SAS, SAP, etc.)
- Proficiency in Big Data Platforms / Technologies – execution, proper
usage, strategy
- Hadoop Ecosystem Tools (Hbase, Hive, Pig, Flume, etc.) familiarity
preferred
- Project & Technology Architect: Able to develop conceptual
database designs / schemas, with front end solutions – including
mobile and
other BIG DATA topics across technologies
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts at
business level
- Team management and client facing skill & experience (7+ years).
- Consulting background preferred.
*Additional Skills:*
- Understanding / exposure to programming languages, platforms,
software:
- Social Media / Unstructured Data Management – NoSQL, MapReduce, etc.
- Statistical Analysis, Predictive Analytics, Prescriptive Analytics
(any tool or language)
- Sharepoint
- Mobile Technologies
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Java / JSON / D3 (or other visualization / charting libraries)
- .NET
- Other web-based technologies & APIs
*Note: Not all are required, but aptitude to understand most and how they
can integrate to provide full spectrum solutions will be key.*
- CPG and/or Mfg Industry experience
- Skill or desire to attain greater business acumen as it pertains to
newer technologies & business-focused solutions.

understand key value propositions and how multiple parts (technologies,
platforms, package solutions, etc) come together to support Analytics and
related strategies.
