Edwards World or Enterprise 1 (Must Have)* · RPG, RPGLE, MS SQL, Crystal, Sequel, CL, Loftware, Bartender, TLAshford, .Net *PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES* · *Effectively configure / develop functional application programs with adherence to or software vendor standards to make them efficient and maintainable.* · Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions that support business objectives. · Maintain and configure existing systems and programs as required. · Investigate and solve program and testing errors. · Effectively build testing scripts and verify results. · Responsible for ensuring his/her projects are completed on time and meet the end user goals while adhering to good business standards. · Consult with management to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes and to determine extent of programming and coding needs. · Ensure daily activities of software development meet the organization’s needs and are executed consistently to meet delivery dates. · Confer with team members in the verification of testing results. · Keep up with current trends and best business practices in order to recommend new technologies that will improve business systems, security, and productivity. · Maintain and support existing system configurations and programs as required using good business practices. · Acquire a good overall knowledge and understanding of functional applications, and be able to relate the requirements of a specific requirement to the total design of the system. Responsible for analyzing requirements and creating development scopes that utilize good development practices. · Maintain and furnish appropriate change control documentation on all functional systems under development or in production. · Must be a self starter, able to work in a faced paced, ever-changing team environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
