I just bulit and installed the lastest cvs sources and got the same
problem... I guess my BMC doesn't support 802.1q tagging :'(... It
sucks.
Thanks anyway
alxgomz@moeszislak:~/ipmitool$ sudo /usr/local/bin/ipmitool -V
ipmitool version 1.8.11
alxgomz@moeszislak:~/ipmitool$ sudo /usr/local/bin/ipm
I've done the same test as you and I have no ping loss, even after
doing
> ipmitool lan set 1 vlan id 100
when tag is not confiured on the switch...
I will try the lastest cvs.
Just to give me a clue... does
> ipmitool lan set 2 vlan id 42
produce any output on your system?
Regards.
Le me
Alex,
I don't know about your version of ipmitool, but the CVS version has support
for configuring and reading VLAN.
A short inband test with
ipmitool lan set 2 vlan id 42
And
ipmitool lan set 2 vlan id off
Works as expected on my system (a permanent ping gets interrupted and comes
back)
Sorry,
Ididn't noticed it was the devel ist here... is there some place like
user list?
regards
