mechanisms work under DHCPv6 - see: (RFC3315, Section 22.5).

This text was added as a compromise between dhcp folks and non dhcp
folks. I added this text in October 2004 and I sent out the following
mail to the list. Since I heard no objections, I assumed that the text
was acceptable
