XP cannot be expected to only need IPv6 for simple in-home use. And at the same 
time, not much more than simple in-home use can really be expected to work 
correctly with SLAAC alone.

Count me among those who want DHCPv6 to be supported in client OSs.

My inclination would be to require DHCPv6 support, and to either have Microsoft 
provide it via Windows Update, or use third party software. Like in the old 
days.

Industrial and military uses tend to stick with stable, tried and true OSs. So 
XP won't go away overnight. I suppose that by the same token, nor will IPv4, 
for precisely this sort of reason.
