Another issue I was dealing with brought up a good point. By default, when
working with Windows and iSCSI it sets a static route to the router
provided by DHCP, even if the iSCSI server and client are on the same
subnet. Using the DHCP option "option routers " you can
force it to communicate direct
No way that I know of. I was able to get Win7x64 installed using a usb
stick and a PCI-e card, then once it was installed I found that there is a
registry key that can be modified that will allow you to switch which
ethernet card the iSCSI device is expected to boot from. Well, from my
understandin
Well what do you know, I dropped in a PCI-e gigabit card, used a usb drive
to boot iPXE and it's installing. Now I just have to wait for it to install
which is going to take forever since it's sending all traffic through my
router (since I'm not chainloading through DHCP, I can't specify the direct
So I submit for ipxe devel the patch I previously described:
https://git.ipxe.org/vendor/xcat/ipxe.git/commitdiff/73d1ff05b058a2507fda0119825715fa2253d722
And also the slight additional change to make it in theory happier with
either snponly.efi and other usage (not in a posiition to test though)
I can TRY. All I have is pci and pci-e expansion cards, which unforunately
do not support PXE natively so I will have to use a USB jump drive. I will
give it a shot though and see what happens and report back. Thanks for the
tip.

This was a fresh iSCSI disc that was setup specifically for this client. I
have tried removing it and re-adding it multiple times. I have tried
booting with a blank iSCSI disk, I have tried mounting it to a running
windows system and initializing the disk, I have tried duplicating an
existing disk

OK so I am having a very strange issue, and it's only occurring on one
system of mine.
Background on environment:
2 separate WinPE installations, both 3.0. One is for 32 bit only and one is
for 64 bit only.
2 separate Windows 7 install CDs on a network share, one for 32 bit only
and one for 64 bi
