Yes, a good HDTV set has a wonderful pix. You have many more lines of
resolution. HDTV is not anyway like HD Radio. HDTV is an improvement
where HD Radio is not. Two different animals. Also no one has to buy a

The Solar numbers are supposed to be lower tonight, but my radio says
they aren't. hi. CX to the East & North are poor here. I wonder if the
numbers went back up? Even CFPR 860 is not good with XEMO mixing with it
even with, the South phased.

If you can afford one it is worth every cent. I get perfect reception
of Tucson 140 miles away from my house and the picture is
spectacular. Baseball and Hockey both get a nice bump up as you can
see more of the game and football gets a lot of help also. HDTV is
worth it if you can buy one.
My memories of that time period, are that the big jammer and spy station was
Radio Swan on 1160. This was said to be a CIA station on Swan Island with
studios in Miami, FL. Is it possible that it's the same people running Radio
Marti, but just under a different name?

OK we have to agree to disagree about the purpose for HDTV.
Note that I think the main purpose for HD FM and especially HD AM is to try
to make megabucks for Ibequity and to sell more radios.
Anyhow..I wouldn't move existing AMers around, but would have the FCC be
more aggressive about pursuing

luck until tonight. Caught them with Jim Bohanon Show, North Coast weather
forecast, and ID at 2029 PT. Strong KFWB interference but very little CKNW or
KUPI tonight.

Nothing in the 1962 or 1963 issues.
1966 issue lists Marathon, Florida (50 kW - 1180 kc) and Sugarloaf, Florida
(50 kW - 1040 kc).
Sorry I don't have the '64 and '65 issues to confirm when these stations
first showed up in print. Hope this helps.

with LESS than 1 KW day and Night. It is about making the existing AM band
better and to re-fuel the existing AM band -- so that it might provide a true

Do you get a lot of hash from your local FM IBOCers? You know out here I
have never heard any hash from Portland or Seattle IBOCers. I have heard
the hash does not travel as far as it does with AM. You being a veteran
FM DXer yourself, I would like to get your feeling of the QRM caused by

channels were much weaker than normal. Some of the Japanese stations were
absent 558-666-873, yet 603 R. Korea? with weak audio at 1406 & 936 China? 1347
UTC weak. It's 1426 and JOUB 774 is level 7 with JJ/
Regarding KMZK, their websites appear to seem they are on the air.

Probably the best person to ask--assumung you can get any info from him--is
Dana Puopolo. I don't know if Dana reads this list or not, but he is a good
friend of Alex Langer's and has worked for him on several projects. I also
think that Dana currently lives in Rhode Island. The application, which
I think more people know it than you think, and they are much the same, with
the exception of spam filtering. Its worse on Hotmail, but better if you pay
for MSN service.

KNBR. Moderate XEMO/860, strong Tijuana/950, moderate Mexicali/990,

XEPE is by far the strongest and the only XE I get good enough to listen
