Dan,
Thanks. 159 degrees would put a null towards The Dalles OR (1300-KACI)
and 260 would put a null towards Aberdeen (1320-KXRO). Then at about 230
degrees (my direction), they probably put little signal also I would
guess. If they protect 1320 KXRO, I presume they will protect 1280

Patrick: KKOL is not on Vashon Island. They are on land leased from the Port
of Tacoma. I believe the site is a couple of miles east and slightly north
of KHHO. The stations on Vashon are, AFAIK, 1000, 820/950, and 770/1090. I'm
not sure about 710--but probably them too. 880 is not on Vashon. As

Has anyone gotten a verie out of HLAZ recently? If so, is the WRTH
address OK? I got pretty good audio a couple of weeks ago so thought
I would give it a try with a CD.

Pete,
Thanks for the clarification. I just read somewhere that they were
moving to Vashion. I guess that is not the case then.

Bruce Pete,
I don't where I read it, but I thought KKOL was going to Vashion. I
guessed diplexing with KGNW. But there is probably too much RF there
anyway now with KJR moving to Vashion. To live on Vashion...No thanks.

Bill,
That is right. CB QSLs are not broadcast QSLs, like SW and MW. I wonder
if they take FM TV?

Pete and Bruce,
Isn't 1590 on Bainbridge? I wonder why they did not diplex there?

Pete,
I just sent HLAZ a report as I want their new 50th anniversary card. I
have not heard back as yet, but the QSL is probably about due anytime. I
guessed the WRTH address.

According to the application Salem filed for the Tacoma site, there were
CPs issued earlier to diplex KKOL at the KIXI 880 site in Bellevue and
at the KLFE 1590 site on Bainbridge. They

Scott,
Thanks for the clarification. So they looked at Bainbridge. I also was
thinking that would be a dandy site. I don't know what directional
pattern they could have had from there though. 10 sites they looked at?
They were looking. That is for sure. Yes, KKOL will not have the local
signal in

Pete,
It must be KGNW 820, as KIXI is not on Vashon. KJAR moved from Tacoma to
Vashon, so it must be KGNW. But I still wonder why Salem did not use
KKOL instead?
