Finally! Heard some very weak country on 660...soon
followed by native chanting. Signal isn't great, and
New York isn't letting up. I've had AZ before,
looks like a mildly Japanese morning at 1400UTthe big guns have
audio (not great), and a couple of littler guns show traces of audio
(864, 1242,1287 and 1503) will see how it develops.

from the IT people. Meanwhile the mirror site is working fine, including

It was good day for TP's with audio on 558, 594, 693, 747, 774, 828, 1053,
1206, 1377, 1386, 1475 and 1566 from 1345 to 1410. At times 1475 had a fair
signal and it was the last to fade out at sunrise.

Hello,
Just got up at 1600 UTC this morning. Have to work today so no Dxing. Bill in
Arizona had some nice catches. I have heard weak audio on 1475, but with a
local on 1480 a level 7 signal would probably be needed to get through.

1475 was new for me. I also got a new state today as I heard Hawaii on 550.
I sure like the two VFO's on the Drake R8.

Slept in this morning
I had other commitments this morning so wasn't able to make a trip to
the antenna farm, but a quick check at my home location revealed some
strong carriers on the upper end of the dial, especially 1593,1575,1566,
and 1475. I've never heard audio on 1475, but they had a huge carrier
here, so

Certainly a fine idea. I wasn't coming
1566 was a carrier here up until 1800UT, when it seemed to
disappear. That made sense, as the Russian broadcast that beams this
way somewhat came to an end, and maybe they sign off then?
At 1858UT, checked again, and behold, a barely audible carrier was
there, best on the westerly Flag.

Time and date are in the file name. Oriental sounding plucked string

to 3 and 1 pips on the hour. Unfortunately the talk that follows is

That would be a catch here, Barry, thanksI'll see if I can find a

Thanks Martin - I have quite a few reports out this season but I suspect I'm
at about 20 percent so far too. Follow-ups still seem to improve the
replies, but the days of high returns from single reports appear to be long
gone. I still love the hobby, though, and still love the QSLs.

I've been logging HLAZ-1566's carrier, which was still audible as a
weak het at 1900UT, 3.5 hours after local sunriseshortly after,
it disappeared as a het, but Spectrum Lab held onto it until after
2000UT, and its last poke above the noise was at 2045; Cheju sunrise
is around 2200UT.
Dennis,
I did not get to the dials this morning. After sun up this morning I
replaced the actuator arm on my big dish. The storm before the last did

but now that is working fine too. This is a heavy arm made for the

Some channels filled with locals are not so easily checked for the
