I just looked at John Callarman's list and this was XEYF in Hermosillo. His
list says //970-XERFR. I better listen to the tape in the morning when my ears
are fresh.
New one here, XE #49.

Hello,
1154 UT very weak audio on JOUB 774. 828 JOBB weak with woman singing. Heard
on the R8B using the AM sync, neither heard on the JRC 545.
With conditions not so good, will not get up at 1400 UT.

Thanks for the tips Neil - I'll give them a try the next few nights and see
if the path is there. That would make state #49 for me if I can nab one of
them.

I had the radio on from 1330 to 1425 UT and I heard no TP audio or carriers. I

As for 1314, they were on for a few hours for the Dutch elections a
few weeks ago, so the transmitter is still there, I guess, but it's
otherwise silent. Wonder how much it would cost to run a DX
program? (though the European DXers would possibly pay them more to
stay silent).

If that is all it costs say 200 E per hour Surely we could
get ten people to commit 20 Euro each for a DX Broadcast next
October??? In fact, you can count on me for at least 20 Euro, Nick,
so you've just got 9 other idiots to find :)

Well, I IDed something new on 540 after listening to my recording, I
heard Radio Rebelde's spunder pierce through the din on the channel
at 0557 utc 11/09. That makes a total of 1650 stations heard here in
Maryland, and Cuban number 58.

Martin,
Great going. Glad to see some stations are still QSLing with the letter.
They QSL'd me with a v/l but that was 25 years ago.

By the way, I'm wondering if anyone who's been taping on 540 this past week has
detected anything that might be XEWF, moved from 1420 per Fred Cantú. According
to Cantú's listing, it had been using the old Poderosa slogan but has
recently switched to Colorin ColoRadio slogan. Unfortunately, its
