The carrier on 693 was strong but I got no audio from it.

I don't think so. The jazz seems to be an outgrowth of the former jazz FM
pirate station from Cranston. That's silent, and won't be back on. A "quit
while you're ahead" scenario.

According to what I was told by a CE, once you turn the IBOC off the
station does not have to pay the fees any longer. They do have the
outlay of the equipment in the first place, but once the station turns
it off, no more fees. I guess the fees are the same for each station in

this? In Mexicali, there is zona 98, at 98.3, and also, 940 oldies,
but those are the only two stations totally devoted to English music,

KGO was testing IBOC a few nights, but is not using it. Maybe some of
these stations want to be ready "if" the FCC okeys 24/7. That is my
guess. Portland has 1190 & 1330 using it, but no one else so far.

The only fee is the initial licensing chargewhich is the same all over
the country. There are no additional "fees" associated with running AM HD.
None. As in zero. I've been running it for 4 years and have yet to pay a
"fee". Where are you getting this false information from???

(first time here). Opera noted from 0112 tune and still is good at times.

Nope, no audio yet, and most carriers are really pretty weak, but
there are lots of them, some as deep as 5 per channel per Spectran
(1107 is the prize winner here).
Stronger ones are, of course, 1215, 1134, but also 567 and 738. No,
the latter isn't Tahiti; good strength on the northern Flag

tired of dealing with noisy lines and getting a 26.4 norm baud rate for

audio on 153, 162, 171, 177, 183, 189, 198, 207, 225. Hets with brief fades
to strong (but no audio so far) on 1053, 1062, 1134--and I don't have a

You are right with that. Already I have heard from people (non DXers)
that have complained about all of the added noise from IBOC in the LA
area. They like the talk shows, but too much noise, and they turn the
radio off. I told them what it was and they can care less. They are
upset they hear
There could be some audio on 1134 kHz, but domestic splash in bad, carrier is
good (level 5). 1206 & 1215 have less domestic QRM.
1377 here is as bad as 1134. I will try 1323 kHz latter, VOR heard last year
here.

good signal pull from anything distant ever since

has been in a class by itself here, and even produced some half decent
audio. Not bad at peaks, would have been about 50% discernable had it
been in English. Certainly the best TA audio here since November.
