On Friday Apple released the long-awaited iPhone, which they tout as the
best iPod ever. Projected sales are 7 million for the remainder of 2007

Well done Craig. The I-Phone does look like it will be a great seller.
Everyone from the BBC World, Russia Today, DW-TV, CBC, CCTV9(China), and
all over the US are reporting very good results and sales with the

Les,
Thanks for the great job as Broadcast Test Coordinator. When I look on the
wall and see KMTI KERR QSL's, they will remind me of the good times DXing
these stations and fun of trying for others that I did not hear. Good luck.

HD Radio is obsolete right out of the box. It's silly to drive full speed

Your many salient points are well taken. However, HD has one little budge

Yesterday, whilest driving locally, I saw a window sticker across the
back of an unassuming compact sedan's rear window. The occupants
appeared to be an ordinary working-class couple in their 40's.
I have that identical sticker on my mountain bike -- I get good comments on
it when stopped talking with other cyclists

Gentlemen,
As much as I am not the biggest fan of big business either, you have to
remember that Corporate radio is where it is in today's world. These are
corporate radio stations we deal with for QSLs, station tours, goodies
and the like. We should reach out to them more, rather than complain.

Well said, Patrick. Not only should we strive to be
good community partners with broadcasters, but as any
one who has a pension, a 401k, or mutual fund
investments, there is a darned good chance that we
ourselves may be part owners of the corporate
broadcasters. Just some fuel for thought.

Hi all.All this week, I've been hearing an unmodulated carrier on 1090 at
night. Last night , I tuned to 1090 and heard a very distorted SRN newscast
at the TOH at 11 PM local.worst audio I've heard on AM in a long time. When
the news ended, it went back to an unmodulated carrier

Very good point Joe. I am just so tired of all of the negative postings
these days. There are many great positive aspects of our hobby. Like
this afternoon, I was out putting in a new ground rod at the end of the
SW EWE. It wasn't easy as I had to go through a couple of treef roots I
think. The
