In the process of doing a nighttime band scan, when I got to 800 local KDPQ was
covered in KGO hash. All 4 outdoor antennas with hash to some degree. Make a
minute recording of the hash. The only way I could hear 820 KGMW in Seattle
was with the Kiwa loop with KGO nulled.
I just ran across the band and only 4 stations running IBOC that are causing
adjacent channel interference. 9/29/07, 9:30-9:50 PM PDT.
600 KOGO
790 KABC
810 KGO
1070 KNX
Not on were: 570 KLAC, 710 KSPN, 980 KFWB, 1110 KDIS.
I've lost a some good DX channels and I've missed out on QSLs from a fe

Thanks Dennis. Back in the 80s, Aussies were all over the dial and I
cleaned up on many. I think before that I may have only had a half a
dozen.I have 111 from NZ and also 111 from Japan. Some of my favorite
areas to DX. Now it is Filipinos.

Yesterday morning I listened briefly around 1330 UTC. The only TP heard
with audio was JOUB-774 but I did find tht CHQR on 770 bombing in,
totally covering nearby KCBC (they were still on night power). KKOB had
pretty much faded out by that time. Certainly not new here but

It isn't KAHI. I think it is the second AM for Jefferson Public Radio
station, KTBR 950 Roseburg OR. They are now 3400 watts and have a new
transmitter and it was probably set up for IBOC. I had it again this
morning doing a number on 963 and 936.

My first dawn session since returning from QCI DX was so poor that I
was wondering if my antennas were damaged while I was gone. Was
relieved to note that others had similarly lousy AMs.
All the (limited) audio action was below 900 kHz. except for probable
R. Sport, NZ on 1503 and HLAZ
Trying out the new ALA100M active antenna this morning.
Sadly, conditions have taken a nose dive.
Little if any audio on the regular channels
Tuned from 1350 to 1400 UTC.
Will flip the Eton E1 on in a moment for
some last minute reprieve.

I could be wrong but I don't think it's KAHI. For one thing my local on 960
totally wipes out KAHI on 950 with it's IBOC. The other is that I am hearing
KWRU on 940 with no apparent IBOC
hiss. However, I'll keep checking. Al Lehr probably can give you a better
report.
