Bob,
I got a really nice old type QSL card from WHBC on reg sked back in the
80s. The CE also sent one of those old color radio station poscards from
the 30s or 40s too.
A really nice packet of stuff.

Not as late as this, Steve...
First late news is that I heard my first TP audio on an "Ultralight", the
barefoot SRF-59 yielded about 30 seconds of JOBB-828 audio this morning
Bob,
I doubt if it was a test. I recall hearing WHBC regularly on Monday Mornings
around 3 a.m. PST (during the winter). In the good ole days when the frequency
wasn't clogged WHBC roared in on
regular schedule. This was 1965-1969 era.

Hello All,
With the current craze of hot-rodding Ultralight radios by
transplanting super antennas into the tiny wonders, some ultra-exciting
results have been
obtained. However, unless the following precautions are observed, your
results are unlikely to thrill you.

My chances of hearing this aren't good, but I'll be
giving it a major try. I have a real QSL card from
them for a report in 9/62. Any OT's recall if that was
a test also?

Yeah, they're a major semi here too, I'd be happy to catch them off air
sometime. I have heard them with the ULR from both locations, so no
challenge on this one, but I'll still give it a go...maybe I'll find someone
else doing something interesting, as I did during the WBIX test (found WMVP

Thanks Jim. Great. I will give this one a try. I QSL'd them back in the
