Good Morning:
Listened from 1220-1335 utc. 3LO believed to be the station that rose up
to JOUB 774 with English for a few seconds, then faded under JOUB.
This August was the best August for Dxing TP's since I moved to the Pacific
Northwest in fall of 2003.
153Russia, fair signal at
Paid another visit to the beverage site this morning, and attained one
goal anyhow. Just under the wire, but I finally heard an Asian signal
in August. Two of the Japanese big guns, on 594 and 747 were in with
audio for a few minutes around 1225 UTC. Other than that the Aussies
ruled thing
Just several poor audios on 531 with pop music at 1318 utc; 567 with man
talking; 774 with Down Under talk.
LWBC the usual 153, 180, 189, 234, 279 at poor/weak level, 1200 utc.
1737 KUT PNG beacon poor at 1316 utc.
(LF beacons doing well today, with Timor, Indonesia and Point Barrow heard.

Listened from 1225-1305 utc and conditions were fair with lots of carriers but
only one with audio and that was Russia on 180 with a little music at 1232 utc.
The carriers were 594. 693, 747, 774, 819, 828, 846, 891, 936, 963, 972, 981,
1134, 1143, 1287, 1314, 1566 and 1566.

DXed from 1255 until 1340. It was a very interesting and "good"
morning, almost exclusively Asian until quite late; I had 35 audios,
with well over half being at language recognition (7) or above. The
strongest stations were 963 the CRI RR Service at a very solid 9 and
HLAZ-1566 running a clos
KDJQ back on with oldies

Hello Guys,
After receiving a booming KPUA-670 at Grayland two days ago with a
solid "9" signal (and absolutely no KBOI QRM) from 1315-1345 UTC on even the
smallest Ultralights, I thought this would be a very easy catch at my home in
Puyallup, about 80 air miles east of Grayland, WA.
Gary,
The Hawaiians don't have the signal they once had. Where KPUA is an S9
or better on the coast, back in the 80s, they were S9+20-30 DB!!! I
logged all Hawaiians within a year or so back in the late 70s/early 80s.
Even the hard ones like KKON-790 were heard a couple of times, but not
anymore.
Does anyone know the address of this station, or any info on how to
obtain a QSL? A DXer from Australia wrote me and asked if they were on
the air any longer? Apparently the station was Air America and was sold
recently. Any info I can pass along would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yesterday I mentioned that KKFN / 950 was stunting with what appeared to
be a format change to C&W. Today they have changed the format of their
stunting and are playing a loop of a couple hundred 2 to 3 second bites
of classic rock hits from the 60s to the 80s followed by commercials
from that era,
