I am listening to KGTL-620-Homer as I type this as S9+20 DB, creaming
KPOJ.
KICY is also very good. KGTL is playing Easy by the Commodores.
Format is Adult Standards.

season, if only I'd tried earlier. All faint to nearly fair, with 684 probably
the best. E1 + 8 Quantum. 73, George S., MN
Was about to give up, but then tuned to 531 and sure enough have some pretty
good DU music happening at 7+ level, so perhaps there'll be a bit of a dawn
enhancement. Best at 13::50, but faded a bit as I type this at 13:54..Walt.

Poor for signals to the north. Even Radio Rossii poor today, 180 and 279
only heard. At end, DU's the only thing heard but doing quite well. 531 with
EE music; 567 poor DU; 855 poor DU; 1116 poor/weak on fadeups, DU talk; 891
the best weak/medium. All 1357-1430. 891 still being heard at 1430.
Listened from 1230-1340 utc and I only heard carriers on 594, 747 anf 774. The
only audio was from JOUB-774 at 1320 utc and it was just above the noise level.

As others have commented, pretty grim this morning. For the first
time in quite a while I had absolutely no TP audio, and for that matter,
not even any strong carriers. Did note a bit of DU action, but not as
good as something happens on these solar hiccups. Lots of carriers,

It seems that not too many of us midwesterners have been listening this season.

A couple of months ago I purchased the Tecson AN-100 Antenna on eBay from

very well constructed; plus, you can see the antenna windings, so it's actually
a beautiful thing to look at.

Yes, it is the antenna that brings in Alaskans. Before I built the NW

Karl - thanks for your advice. I know you've been at this for a long time.

Hi Craig,
Interesting reading on the comparison of the two loops. Is there a web page
with a description of your copper tube antenna? And is it practical to have the
copper tube antenna at a home location (i.e. not in a truck but maybe a
backyard etc). Thanks.
have fun,
Paul

Victoria,
I enjoy setting interim goals for myself in DXing... beyond Country
and Station totals. One of these, for me, is trying to hear and then
QSL as many NHK1 and NHK2 pairs from Japan as I can. Almost every
mega-city in Japan has both an NHK 2 and NHK 2 station, and some of
the pairs are among

would like it posted to a central spot on dxer.ca
by all means send it along...
John,
Congrats on your two QSLs. A couple goo ones there. Great going.
