Hi Dennis,
If you can phase down KPOJ to get CKRM, you should beable to get Homer
with the right phase as they are in the opposite direction of KPOJ from
you.
I do notice that since 620 co-located with 1190, KEX's signal is not as
strong as they used to be. SK QRM's them most night.

KPOJ 620 was cut down good with the phaser, CKRM
was about 50% with KPOJ. KEX is very hard to phase
and hear anything underneath. I can cut back the IBOC
from KEX, but thats about it. KGO is another hard one
to phase. Earlier this evening I did get some station underneath
KGO,

That's Lulu. I was reasonably sure of the name but looked it up on Wikipedia
anyway, and it turns out that she has had quite a musical career.
Listened from 1405-1430 utc and conditions were very poor with no audio and

If I happen to get anything under KGO, it is normally WGY here at night.
They are the only NY station I still hear on occasion now. Since KVAN

Alabama was on Day Power/Pattern I have just added a NEW STATION to the
ULR Log!!!
Radio Used was..SONY SRF-T615 with 2 1/2 Foot Homebrew Tunable Box Loop.
ULR LOG TOTALS are now.628 Stations Heard.
1575 is delivering fair audio (non-stop music), as well as 1539 with fair
audio. Nothing else on the usual channels besides weak waterfalls on the

another foot. Now it is 15X40X15. I also added another copper pipe a
foot away from the first one and tied them together at the termination

As for WAPI-1070, I think it may be just good conditions. Here they are
always heard all night
You mention the KLLK towers being unlit and unpainted.. if they are under
200 feet, there is no requirement for them to be either painted or lighted.

That is true about the spacing on grounds, but I just put them in that
way as it was easy. But knowing me, I may have 8 copper pipes in the

I can hear a woman singing which sounds like Icelantic on 189 at 0545,
but beacon QRM. Only on the Eastern beverage.
The 531 Unid has the audio, but fading down now. Best on the NE EWE.

Alternating talk by man and woman in definite Spanish on 756 at 0544UTC up
to a fair signal. I checked 6190SW as they were fading up thinking it was
Germany again, but wasn't. Spanish is also being heard well on 531 and 639
with typical Spain carriers present on low band. Morocco is present on 171
I wonder what beacon interference you're getting. Beacons don't start until
198 kHz and should never be heard way down on 189.

I get a lot of junk down there too, very hard to figure out where most of it
comes from. The CFL bulbs aren't generally noisy, at least none of the many
in this house are noisy.
