Listened from 1310-1350 utc and conditions were a little on the strange side.
Only a few weak carriers on the bottom and top part of the band at first but it
got better around local sunrise. The best audio was HLAZ-1566 at 1338 utc with
some religious music. HLAZ has not been this good in se

I reviewed a half hour of Perseus WAV files this morning, which were from
1410-1440 UTC. The best reception was found on the 1410 to 1412 files and
deteriorated quickly as local sunrise approached (1424 UTC), so I probably
should have started recording earlier. The antenna in use was a 35 X 40 ft.
The last couple of mornings haven't been that great for TP DX here, though
yesterday (13 March), HLAZ was the loudest I've heard it in awhile, and there
were some unusual weak audios. Today was rather more pedestrian.

Well this UNID SPANISH station on 1090 Khz continues to haunt me!!
Last night I had it again over/under/mixing with WBAL. Still can't get
an ID outta it though...but did hear repeated Jingles with "PUNTO
CINCO" mentioned .
Surely someone else is hearing this Station on 1090 Khz. At ti
Radio North, Redcastle, County Donegal, Ireland will be making test
transmissions tonight on 846 kHz
The test runs from 0200 - 0600 UTC inclusive, and will carry CW around
800hz, as well as voice ids every 30m, on the hour and on the half hour.

A shame you don't have Ireland mixing in on 549, that would be a good sign.
I will check for 846 (hooking up TA wires) on my way in from the WHYL test
in a few minutes, but I expect nothing in these cx. When TA cx have been
superb here in IL, I have had weak 846 carriers and with Rome off. But I
WHYL-960 in at 0010 EDT over nulled pest WFIR with code IDs, sweep tones,
talk by DJ into "That's the way I like it" by KC and the Sunshine Band.

"Newstalk 960 WFIR."
Now hearing sweeptones at 0010...hi there, Bruce! (and thanks...)
960's a tough catch here with local WROC-950 just down the street...

Despite QRM from WWJ 950 IBOC, I could only point my Sony ICF-2010 to hear
anything, namely WFIR. Heard a couple of high toned beeps at top hour, some
70's style music. Then at 0020 EDT did get the Morse Code and sweep tones.
My thanks goes to Bruce Collier for conducting this test.

Just logged WHYL 960 Carlisle PA for a NEW URL LOG...It's also NEW to
the OVERALL LOG as well!! Thanks to BRUCE COLLIER for running this DX Test!!
Radio used is ...SONY-SRF-T615 with 2 1/2 Foot Homebrew Tunable Box
Loop.
0010 code and sweeps. If not for code I am not sure I could ID them as they
aren't that good. There's some mx from time to time but it isn't that good
at all and channel has lots of QRM even when I phase out the stuff from the
W and NW like CFAC/KFLN/KMA. WSBT is sometimes in as is weak RR morse
WHYL DX Test Heard in Madison WI with Morse and sweep tones-- three sets
heard at 10 minute intervals. No voice ID heard and no music recognizable as
coming from the test. My local on 970 does IBOC, but with only 51 watts night
power it was no problem on 960 tonight.

EDT tune-out with numerous voice IDs, Morse Code, sweep tones, lively DJ, and

Copied Sweep Tones and Morse ID at about 0011 using Icom R75 and Terk
Advantage Loop. A difficult catch because of heavy hash from WPEN 950
IBOC. Was able to null most of it to hear the tones, but hearing music
or any other audio was pretty much impossible. Gotta love those sweep
tones.

Ditto on the sweep tones! WFIR Roanoke VA is dominant here with lots of
background noise, but the code and sweep tones came through loud and clear.

I monitored 960, but didn't hear the WHYL DX Test. IBOC QRM from local
KRWZ-950 is tough enough to get by, but then there's CFAC which is a
powerhouse pest. If CFAC were off (or not using non-directional pattern)
WHYL would have stood a chance. The other stations heard here tonight on 960
were KMA
