Colin,
Great reports from Kona. I did a bit of DXing with the SuperRadio from
Hilo on my trips over in the 80s & 90s, but from the East Coast and I
got lots on mainland stations unfortunately. I wish I would have DXed
from Kona when I was there in 1990. I only spent one night at Kona.

1040 CKST does not seem to have the night signal as strong as they used
to have down here. Days seem maybe a hair better, but it is late Fall,
and it may be skip too.

Nice going Dennis.
Wish I could have gone on that trip with you. - I knew about your plans but
wouldn't have be able to make it anyways.
Your website is well done too. I'll have to give it some more attention!

well, just one TA here also, and at pretty minimal levels, but Absolute R. has
been putting wispy audio out on 1215 from time to time, checked vs. webstream.
Nothing else seems to be delivering from variable carriers.

Was trying to hear CKOT (no success yet) and was surprised to find a
decent signal from KMSD over KCKK at times. One never knows of
course, but it seems like an awfully good signal for 14 watts...

I have posted on my website some photos taken Tuesday of the KTRP 1130 towers

I would like to say that DXing from Kona is stunning --
the potential for trawling for layers and layers of Coastal

But. It is a totally different experience from
West Coast dxing where you actually have to work at it.

Hello All,
This morning's TP session would have been a clunker in October, but for
late November, it was probably the best one could hope for.
Signals were improved over yesterday (but that's not saying much).
