After nothing doing here for the last 4 Days..tonight proved
fruitful @ Sunset Skip with 3 NEW STATIONS logged for the ULR LOG. 2 Of
these are also NEW for the OVERALL LOG. Conditions seemed to favour the
SE tonight with 2 of these New Stations coming out of NEW JERSEY! One of

The mid-latitude
Had time for a quick check this morning, and found audio from the four
most common Japanese, with 774 JOUB doing well, the Japanese on 747 and
693 a bit weaker, and 594 just audible. This just after 1330 UTC.

The ONLY possibility I see would be WDHP 1620, none of the others seem to
come close and WDHP isnt even that big of a possbility.. but I think they do
run variety programming at night

Paul- I am thinking that Cuba has moved into the X-band, just a guess.

Along this same line, check out 1550 in the early morning hours.
I have Spanish mixed with the station from Vienna, Georgia. It sounds like
Cuba as there is a lot mentions of La Habana and Cuba stuff.
Is it just Conditions or has Cuba creeped into the upper band?

Nice that WKIX returneth and thanks for bringing us up to date on the
change. I heard a previous call WNAO in 1950 (from Iowa) but never
caught them from California. So, hats off to your 1969 catch Mike. In
fact the only 2 I have heard from N.C. out here are WFGW Black Mt. on an
E/T &
Here, too, mixing with several others; not too strong. Haven't some speculated
that WDHP sometimes runs Radio Marti-style programs at night? If so, I bet
Rebelde is there to block Cuban reception of them.
