Website Northwest Broadcasters reports(with FCC info) that KONP Port Angeles
,Wa is relocating it's single tower from the waterfront at almost sea level to
a higher location if the somewhat undetailed map shows a move to the south a
mile or so to the upper level way from downtown where highway
KONP will eventually lose the FM translator too, as an FM in the Aberdeen
market upgraded which necessitated a vacant alottment in Port Angeles for a
full power Fm moving from, i think, 93.7 to 102.1 which is also the
frequency of the KONP FM translator, and as a Class D it's afforded no
protection
This off frequency station is strong this evening with strong het
and even had some clear audio (sports talk) while tuned to
1289.74Khz. Suspect this may be WKLJ from Sparta,
Wisc.
