Hi Gary,
You got my interest going, so I went and checked.
I QSL'd 846 back in Sept 79. It was 2CY in those days, still 10 KW. So
it has been a long time. Heard on my old E.H. Scott RBO-2 with a Q
Multiplier and a mismatched wire when I lived 1/2 block from the ocean
in Seaside.

Hi Patrick,
846-2RN was only received during the exceptional morning of August 20th at
Lincoln City during last week's ULR DXpedition, and was gone the next two
days. 558-Radio Fiji One (//639) and 1017-2KY also came in on that
exceptional morning, for all-time new ULR DU's (never received
Gary,
2RN-846 used to be a regular here back in the 80s when cx were average
or better. They would mix with NZ a few years later. I QSL'd them back
in the 80s.

Hi Nick and Nigel,
Chuck recently send Guy and me correspondence indicating that 846-2RN had
been heard at Grayland more frequently than the current archives indicate.
On the other hand, 603-Radio Waatea (a Maori-language regular on ULR's
during both Lincoln City DXpeditions) seems to be a

Thanks Dennis,
Once again you did a great job at Grayland, and if John B. were still with
us, he would have been very proud of your ULR TP-DXing success.
Yes, I remember very well the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, only
about 3 blocks from my favorite DXing spot on the beach. Never s
Gary,
Thanks for renewing my interest in the ultralight hobby. During my
next 3 day visit before the IRCA convention, I will run a wire out
into the thick brush that is in between the ocean and cabin. Also
will give the Kiwa loop a try. Mike's Grayland Motel and Cottages

Hi Dennis,
Thanks very much for your detailed TP-DXing posts from Grayland, using your
E100 Ultralight with the Space Magnet loop. You did a great job, and the
ULR group is very happy with your TP-DXing success, especially because of
your own enjoyable experience. As you might guess, I also
Martin, Bruce and Paul,
Many thanks for your help! I will be trying all the contact info that
you have suggested. As for WWSM, at least the FCC-listed email
p...@patgarrett.com is outdated and no longer works, as my email bounced
back.
If anyone still has additional clues, especially e-mail

Good Morning,
Conditions were down here on the Cranberry Coast this morning. The
five stations heard were Asian. The best signal was fair (7) and
splatter was heavy. Planning on returning here for 3 days before the
IRCA convention in Seaside. Really enjoyed using the utralight during

After doing some antenna repair work last week, had a listen this
morning from 1155 to 1230, and action, such as it was, was all DU in origin.
Lots of carriers, most of them fairly feeble, with weakish audio noted on:
531 - traces of audio with man speaking at 1218
738 - country music program ho
891 with a DU station running sports scores at first, later a second station
joined it, poor/weak around 1315 utc. 891 has been heard every morning the
past couple weeks, always with DU format.
LWBC Radio Rossii fairly good earlier, 1150 utc with 153, 180, 189, 234,

signals best, as the Flags run out of sensitivity there.
