An interesting morning here in southern Alberta.China is beginning
to be a player in the mornings here now, as we move into late September,
with audio noted for the first time this season on 1017 and 1206. The
CNR outlets on 945 and 981 were very close too. This morning's audio:
594 -
Another mix of DU and TP this morning, maybe not quite as good for overall
signal level as yesterday. As before, lots of hets over the whole band.
Audio, in chronological order:
774 Japan with English program, weak 1323 utc; 792 very poor/poor Asan; 828
weak Japan English program; 891 poor
Here on the Oregon Coast, cx stated out rather poor at 1300, but by 1330
peaked right up. The Tecsum barefoot had a local-like signal on 774,
matching KGO in signal. On the R8 using the NW EWE, Vietnam 675 and 549
were both coming in 675 at S7-8 and 549 at S3-4. JOKR-954 and JOLF-1242

Hi Patrick,
Congratulations on your first Ultralight radio TP reception. With your
location near the ocean beach (and your great TP-DXing experience), I'm sure
that you could re-write our ULR TP-DXing record book, if you choose to do so
:-)
This morning (besides 774) I also had
Yep! Great day for Alaskans here in Masset, with 680 KBRW coming in
well, and no sign of SF or Edmonton at around 14:00. Many others too.
Also DW Sri Lanka on 1548, and hints of India on 1566. A different
morning for sure!...Walt

Hello All,
Asian propagation this morning had an interesting pattern, as more and
more Chinese stations produced fair audio across the MW spectrum, but without
any increase in the big gun Asiatic TP strength. Somewhat rare (for here)
1053-Mandarin Chinese audio was received at 1333 at a
Gary,
The Tescun had quite a few TPs/DUs, noted 594-JOAK, JOAB-693, JOIK-747,
JOUB-774, JOBB-828, KBS-972, Korea jammer-1053, JOQR-1134, and others.
JOUB was equal with KGO barefoot.
A great little receiver. Thank you Gary.

KBRW may have been in there too here, but I did not check it out too
closely. KSKO-870 was mixing with CFBV too. KICY was dominant on 850,
wth no sign of KHHO.

My experiences this morning were the exact opposite of Gary's. For
me, the NHK big guns were stronger than they had been, and everything
else was down a bit. The Chinese, in particular, were noticeably weaker
than they were this past weekend.
Alaskans were also in well, with a particularly
