Here's another change to the
Reception of TP signals was slightly improved from yesterday. I listened at
1137-1324 UTC hearing hets on 567, 594, 657, 702, 747, 828, 873 (faint) and 972
(strong). There was audio fading in and out from JOUB 774 and JOAK 593.
Receiver: Tecsun PL-310 with 7.5 kHz.

TP's were improved over yesterday with a few more stations with audio and more
carriers all on the bottom part of the band.
594 JOAK just above the noise level at times.
666 JOBK very poor for around 2 minutes at 1354 utc.
693 JOAB very poor at 1348 utc.
774 JOUB poor at 1404 utc.

When I have a TA signal on 783, the first thing I do is check for a parallel on
4845 for Radio Mauretanie. But I've noticed the SW hasn't been on the air even
in the early hours around my own EST sunset. And it used to be easy. Anyone
know if the AM and/or SW is/are off the air or if either or
We were unable to get anything on 4845 in multiple tries during the LBI
DXpedition. We heard Spanish, French and Arabic there at times. The Spanish is
easy, the others not.
If the schedules on EMWG are current, one of my receptions had to be Algeria as
nothing else could be Arabic at that
I guess you guys have not been keeping up with SW news: Mauritania has been on
7245 day and night instead of 4845. 73, Glenn Hauser, OK

It certainly seems parallel to 7245 at present Jim! They just pulled the switch
on 7245 though! (Perseus to K9AY).

Hello All,
West coast DXers who were unimpressed by a mediocre sunrise TP
enhancement this morning may be interested to know that the early morning
(0930-1100) Asian sunset session was equally poor, and that they certainly
didn't
miss any good DX. TP signals during both sessions
Had hets that faded a bit after local sunrise...531, 693, 729, and 738. No
Tahiti Treat here...just very weak hets nowhere close to audio.
Only interesting DX to be had was a brief flare-up to ME on 1440 (Westbrook)
and 1490 (Portland) - both previously heard.

Thanks, Russ, This one ought to be an easy catch for people all over the
region. They were weaker before 1715, but still here, then sank to nothing at
1715, so I suppose they are using their night allocation and not signing off.
It sure is an upgrade. They were the weakest of the
