1670 XEANAH Mexico heard while monitoring 1670, heard with various styles of
music all in English from Oldies to Rap noted from 6:25am to 7:10am under

weak by 7:10am. There were a couple Radio Anahuac ID's noted in between
Had a quick listen to the MW band at 15:35 UTC and no repeat at all of
yesterday. No obvious audios, and a few weak hets. I guess yesterday was a
one day wonder! Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC

Hello To All
Good conditions last evening with the K Index at Zero which resulted in a new
country, station, and Latin heard for both Dianne and I .
A couple of times in the past we had noticed a signal on 1220 that seemed to be
in Portugeuse which had never stayed in long enough to ID until
I would have thought KOKC?
Best wishes
Barry :-)

Hey Rob;
Congrats on the retirement! Enjoy.
Re: Your 930 station that signed off @ 1715. IIRC, just because a
station has nighttime authorization does not mean that they can't sign
off. Some nighttime powers are worthless (on paper only). Wonder if it
could be WSEV-TN? They could stay on 5
I was living in New Brunswick in the 60s and used to listen to 1520 Buffalo
when
it was still WKBW 1520 Buffalo playing top 40 hits and it was the strongest
nighttime signal there at night and in the cold winter months it would hang in
all day long too, so basically a 24 hr station. Later on

It's possible, but this was 3 minutes before TOH, and the programming was
clearly local. The announcer had a folksy, small town sound. According to
their program schedule, KOKC would be running
During a band scan at 00:30 this morning noticed local daytimer WWHN
1510 running an OC. The temperature was at or slightly below
zero here and am wondering if this was done to keep the XMTR and or
audio gear warm. Also noted them running an OC on Dec 3 last
year when it was also very cold.
If they run an old tube transmitter and it is in the studio, I can see why
they've done this, but if transmitter site is different from studio, Im not
sure.
Nonetheless, it isn't legal...

HI Guys:
Nothing much doing again tonight @ SUNSET.but I did manage to
solve my UNID from Last Night @ 1715 EST Sign-Off! Turns out it was
WLLL Lynchburg, VIRGINIA signing off at 1715 EST. I heard them again
tonight with the same Male Announcer doing the Sign-Off Announcements!!
Their email addr was bouncing messages a couple of weeks ago (full mailbox). If
anyone sends a report to them and passes through, please advise. TNX

Hi Allen,
Congratulations on the new country of Brazil-- in addition to your 74 other
ULR countries! I'm happy that your Sony prison radio is continuing to
lock up some new DX, for both you and Dianne.
