WCAR isn't owned by the Catholics anymore, station was sold. Now brokered
religion. Almost certainly what you had as there are over 20,000 Asians in WCAR
coverage area, according to www.city-data.com 73, George S., MN

Mr. Tucker is blind - and is in his eighties. He may find it annoying
because so many DX'ers hear his station because he does not power down
every night. Maybe he thinks that he is entitled to run day powers at
night, due to interference. Here is an article that 'splains the
interference issue b
I guess no DX tests from this one hi! Good to read the reactions to the post
and glad it's not an Anglo-French situation. I know the French were in
Louisiana for a while. Did their influence extend to southern Alabama?
Best wishes

Buddy is also a big mobile home dealer. Interesting profession combined with
his radio stations.

He was also the voice of the "super-powered" Caribbean Christian Radio on
1020/1025 kHz from the Turks and Caicos Islands.
He does the between-programs promos and IDs on all of his stations, asking that
you be sure and mention the station's call letters when you write the host.

This was in fairly well at times, but of course when TOH came around it faded
down. So no IDs. That said, I am prepared to rule out KULF TX, because the
signal was just too consistent for 250 (daytime) watts. I tried to get into its
web stream but had trouble, even though this worked for me a fe

Mr Tucker may end up even more frustrated when he is again fined by the FCC for
failing to drop power. They've been a vert flagrant abuser over the past 15

WMOB never drops power and doens't think they have to. Im not sure their
sister station WYND 1310 Deland, FL ever drops power.
I think WMOB's owner Buddy Tucker is blind and may be very frustrated by
tons of emails when he has to listen to them via a screen reader.

I recently heard WMOB and was surprised they not reply to my email. Following
it up with our Scandinavian friends at Distance I now know why!
Best wishes
