Well Paul I'd give it a shot but...
I got KSOO at 1140 4 miles from the house pumping 5KW on a directional
aimed at my back yard. Working on a phased loop that will cut through it
but I'm not *quite* there yet. I need more time, more Litz and more beer
but I'll get there

The first song you played on the air seven years ago...How do you remember
that? I have no idea the first song I played on the air nor the last one for
that matter.

Feel free to include me in a reception report when you throw open the mic

Most of my radio career has placed me behind the mic playing tunes, but my
current job has me acting as Producer/Board Operator by day for our
news/talk station. At 6pm, we change formats and play 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s
music. Occassionally I get behind the mic for a few hours and play some
tunes..
Hello To All,
Trans-Atlantic signals continue to abound at our new QTH . Last evening high
static noise levels due only to a high Solar A Index prevailed early on and
then settled down for the remainder of the night.
A few newly heard stations here were added to this location's list different

Patrick,
I have emailed them about it, and got a non-answer, answer. I think
they have stopped pushed HD radios on the air like they were, but iboc
is still there. And for the life of me I cannot figure out why.
I agree, Patrick, they are hurting themselves.

I can hear the hiss from WHO (1040) in Des Moines from about 1022 to
1057. It may be wider but those are the points where other station
manage to get through.
Glad to hear you're doing better out there. Take care.

Don, glad you are feeling and doing much better. It may very well be that
doing without hospital food was a major assist in your healing! Best wishes

Gang,
It occurred to me a while back that as much as some stations push their
"high def" signal, I don't know anyone who has one of the radios. I can
hear the hiss from WHO (1040) in Des Moines from about 1022 to 1057. It

Thanks for the clarification. I don't know if anyone has ever asked this
or not, but why do some IBOC stations have such a hiss behind their
audio and others do not? I have noticed that for a long time. Does the
night skip have something to do with it? It is very irritating to listen
to these stat
Donald,
It musta been a bit scary for you when you had your "attack" and I msure,
while you got better, the hospital was no fun. Sorry to hear you had to go
through that.
Me and my bestest buddy, George The beagle wish you a very speedy recovery
