music at 0600.30 UTC 5/17 "...en Mexico"Radio Fiesta", back into
music after some slogans, must be on a full 50KW tonight, as they are
listed as 1KW nights, I really doubt. I have never logged this in OR,

Does anyone know how to calculate the effective radiated power (or whatever is
the correct term) for an AM directional station along a particular heading?

CBU is U3. The same pattern Day & Night. They do put some signal to the
NNE. and to the NW. But most of goes to the SW. A powerhouse They do
have sliver of signal out to the East to cover the Frazier Valley. That
is probably why they have been heard in the East.

Is that their nighttime signal? If so, no wonder I never get a shot, but I
thought there were some easterners, maybe in Ontario who heard it some years
ago.

It is kind the opposite here, as KNBR is very very rarely off. The last
time they were off, I nabbed 3 new ones including WRKO. That was a red
letter night indeed a few years back.

CBU puts their main lode to the SW, right at me. The strongest Lower

Have you tried for KNBR? They are the easiest SF and the only station heard in
recent years for me in the Twin Cities. I know KFEQ is a major pest but if you
hear Giants BB... its worth a shot. I have heard KNBR in Cedar Falls, IA back
in the 80's.

Mike,
I have had the vertical for years, but I have not used it much. The
pattern is quite interesting too. You would think the vertical would be
ND, but mine has a lobe to the North. It is a great phasing antenna
against any other antenna too.
