I just heard a moment ago on CKAC 730 a canned message from the
president of Cogeco Diffusion, owner of CKAC that there will be a format
change effective from next Tuesday at 04:30 AM, DST. CKAC sports will
become Radio Circulation 730 (Traffic Radio 730). The sport

The only audio today was from Radio Rossii on 189 and 279 which was heard at
1220-1225 utc. Very weak carriers on 594, 774 and 1566 with very little
t-storm noise.

Today was just the opposite of yesterday, with audio from Asia, but
nothing from DUHad audio from the Japanese big guns on 693, 747, and
774. All I could get out of Australia today were decent carriers on
891 and 1116.

Hi Tim,
Sorry to hear about your fire. I am excited for you that you are giving dx'ing
another shot. I too lost my logs book under different circumstances and have
about 1300 stations after 7 years. George Sherman had alot of my past dx
catches in his logs but im sure idea be around 1500+. It
Speaking of KQQZ, in a few checks at night, they have not been heard.

Not here, either. In fact, I tried last night for Dallas -- which I still need
here -- and ALL that was coming in was a very strong CFSL. No Fort Wayne, or
anybody else.

I'd be interested in seeing a photo of that loop, and a schematic as to
your connections.
I've built a lot of loops over the
This is sad news indeed. CKAC is one of the great French stations in
Quebec. I QSL'd them from Seward AK back in 1965.

Tonight was a bit of a bust, with 1215 delivering a carrier from time
to time, as late as 0510UT, and weaker carriers noted on 783 and
189. 972 had a Doppler smeared quite audible carrier around
0330-0400 UT, centering on 971.990kHz, but no idea who that might
be. Seems likely to be
