Oh, yeah, the RFspace SDR-IQ and other models seem to be popular too. So
anybody with experience with these might chime in as well... thanx!

I have a couple of ham friends who aren't heavily into DX listening on MW or
SW, but both of them own FlexRadio SDRs and really like them for occasional
SWLing and/or mediumwave DXing. I couldn't recall whether anybody uses this
particular brand-seems like WiNRadio Perseus are the favorites.
WTTN is a daytimer here on western antennas and was very strong last eve. Nice
catch on 760 for you. This is a good time of year for sunset skip. 15 minutes
after you logged KKZN, I have them on my Perseus recording crushing a very
nulled WJR.

I recorded a few minutes around 4:00am TOH a few days ago. This includes, at
the beginning, a few ads that target Mexico, read by a couple voices that

after a brief ESPN current/next program announcement.
Stephen,
XEPE 1700 at sunset here is S-9+20db. another station with talk is being
heard underneath XEPE. Radio is a JRC NRD 545 and antenna is 753' sky wire

noon Friday
I will give them a try, I think I had KFI at noon

The broadcast is being heard here in Madison, at times fair, a distance of

It's not exactly classic rock, but the 1590 in East Grand Forks,
MN simulcasts Rock 95.7, which has a modern/alternative rock format. Sticks
out like a sore thumb on a crowded frequency at sunset.

According to an FCC query, 910 is now KKSF and 960 is KNEW.

I was making reference to the fact Im pretty sure WFRX powers down.
And maybe I should've clarified my statement about where i worked in the

What does the fact of whether they power down or not have to do with my dxing

Well, sometimes catches are made when stations are at high power at a time
they arent supposed to be.
i was just implying.. or trying to imply it was definately at low power..
or at least, at low power to the best of my knowledge and limited

If he heard it in metro Minneapolis at 5:52 a.m. local, it sounds like WFRX

You're no doubt right about the game being over, Rick. The 3rd period had
just started when I sent out this e-mail at 2030 Central. So they must have
kept the power on after the game-- thus it remains an opportunity for
anyone who needs it.

Correction...apparently this isn't a Mexican after all, as the station suddenly
broke away from the Mexican music on 2257 CLT to air a version of How Great
