I remember last year when I was in Kaui and later Honolulu that I
heard virtually nothing from Asia, and a fair number of stations
especially from Australia. All this would be around 05:00 to 06:00
local AM. Other years, Alaska was well heard during local evenings

Listened from 1300 UTC for around 15 minutes.
Good, but UNid signals on the likes of 1134, 1170, 1593 etc.
Probably Pacific - did hear some Chinese on one frequency or
another -
BUT Zero signals or audio from all those classic
channels we hear first out here and on the coast:
612(aus), 621(korea)

The KRSN DX test is on!
American Broadcast DXers (http://abdx.org/) announces a DX test for
KRSN 1490 kHz, Los Alamos NM.
The DX test is scheduled for early Saturday and Sunday mornings, Jan
21 and 22 at midnight Mountain time.
The test will run for 10 minutes each time.
Included are sweep tone

Listened from 1410-1440 utc and for the first time in several days I heard a
few TP's. Weak carriers on 1566, 1575 and 1593 with audio from HLAZ-1566 at
1428 utc which was just above the noise level for 2 minutes. The only other
carrier was on 279.

600 is alone on the freq with no bother from any others as expected, but...
620 is also alone and steady with no bother from the usual occupant from
Portland OR. which is very unusual. Where is

WOAS. It's nterfering with KATZ's signal.

At 03 30 CST a strong pulsing/popping signal is again
heard on 1600khz. Sounds like a rapidly pulsing
jammer, splattering from 1590 to 1610.
It has
been suggested that this is possibly WAOS Austell, Ga with
a horribly distorted signal. Their normally
heard SS program is not present when this
