Hi. Whatever happened to Bakersfield on 1100 kHz? I thought I logged them as
KAFY in March 2003.

Patrick, I think you might have a shot at WDBC too. I've heard them too
often the last couple of months to believe they've always been using
their 1,000 watt night power. I can phase out KNBR quite easily
here, but the problem then is getting past CJOB. I did hear WPTF once,

Edmonton`s early disappearing act yesterday at 7AM PST gave me a rare
opportunity to catch the Beverly Hills Ca station as a one time catch. This
morning CFRN was right back in there loud and clear. Bill in BC

Nigel,
Thanks Nigel. You are far enough to the East and North to knock down the
signal of KNBR, but they are strong here. KNBR is about the worst at
night to try and log a distant catc. CJOB I do hear from to time to
time. I will keep sitting on 680. Conditions are poor to the East here
of late.
They are supposed to be there, but I have not logged them, at least not
IDed here.

Patrick

Not sure what all the fuss is over WPTF. As i write I am listening to WPTF.
Granted, WPTF isn't very strong. They just did weather for North Carolina
2032 EWT. It's mixed with WCNN playing Tony Bennet song and who knows what.

Patrick, I think you might have a shot at WDBC
Willis,
The fuss over WPTF is a Special Temporary Authority they have to operate
non directionally at night while they diplex 570Khz into the system/towers
at the WPTF site.

At local sunset this evening I logged WHAT 1210, Laramie WY, playing country
music. It was first heard at 2359 UTC with an iD including a FM frequency of
92.3 and slogan Bucket 92. The signal was mixing with KOKK, Huron SD. At
0011, I again heard a Bucket 92 ID. At 0012-0013, there were ads
My mistake. The station heard was KHAT, not WHAT as reported.
Sorry.
