The recent solar flares made me realize that I had forgotten to pass
along a resource to my AM DX friends. There is a site
frequently used by weak-signal VHF DX hounds, that may also prove useful
for MW DX'ers. Please share
this link, it's the site of Paul, N1BUG

Walt,
I would have thought so too. With rain coming in, it may be sometime
until they throw the switch now. Hope they turn it off soon.

Well it's Thursday night, and the whopping big OC on 900 from CKMO is still
there (9:25 PM local/05:24 UTC 9 March). I had thought that the switch was
to have been pulled today at the transmitter. The weather was gorgeous
today, so shouldn't have posed any difficulty to get out to the island

I don't know . . . the touchtones sound more like they are running
unintentionally from some device, than recorded. They totally swamp the

Thank you so much, David, for this posting! Following up on your message, I
was able to log WWAM thanks to hearing an ad for a pizza place in

matched internet info. QRM was from WBAP but WWAM was in its null and came

Hi All:
I've been trying to log WNVR, 1030 since I read they are staying on late.
Nothing for the last two nights, of course, but on Saturday, 3/3, had somebody
under WBZ w/MOR-type mx in a foreign language. The station was getting
stronger as 8 p.m. approached, then, at 8:00:30, poof, they w
Hi All:
WWAM, 820, Jasper, TN must be on late w/gospel & day power as they are killing
WVSG here. Nice ID by YL 2038 EST, mtn. hearing them 24 hours on the
internet. Apparently you can hear 'em 24 hours on the air, whether they're
licensed for it or not.

I hear the tones here on my local TIS as well. Just not with the beat that
yours has. Wonder if its just that the tones were recorded in the loop as well
and are being replayed with the audio.(but are a little hotter audio wise?)
