If there was a Solar storm tonight then any effect on skip has mostly worn off
anything abnormal except for two notecable differences: 1. 540 is fairly quiet
with one SS language station on top and no sign of the usual occupant CBK Sask.
2. 750 is not so quiet and has a rather low night powered

The tone beeps I reported on 1610 a cpl of days ago turned out to be our
local TIS, at the PA Welcome
As Les, J.D. and others have requensted - will someone please pull all this
Chicago-off-the-air-possible-DX-Test info together in one compreh ensive email?
This is a great opportunity and it would be extremely beneficial to have
something akin to a roadmap available.

Hey all, was reading the march Mont. times mag and learned of a writer that was
doing some HD AM DXing. He got 3 stations and wrote to them. Only got one
reply. Wonder if anyone else has had this happen with HD DX?(WBZ was the
replyer) Good dx to all, Robbie in south Wyoming
I hear the tones here on my local TIS as well. Just not with the beat that
yours has. Wonder if its just that the tones were recorded in the loop as well
and are being replayed with the audio.(but are a little hotter audio wise?)

My email brought in IRCA list # 95 --27 as a split list with two lists of post

WVSG here. Nice ID by YL 2038 EST, mtn. hearing them 24 hours on the
internet. Apparently you can hear 'em 24 hours on the air, whether they're
licensed for it or not.

Nothing for the last two nights, of course, but on Saturday, 3/3, had somebody
under WBZ w/MOR-type mx in a foreign language. The station was getting

was able to log WWAM thanks to hearing an ad for a pizza place in
Whitwell TN (Marion County, same as Jasper) whose address and phone number
matched internet info. QRM was from WBAP but WWAM was in its null and
I don't know . . . the touchtones sound more like they are running
unintentionally from some device, than recorded. They totally swamp the
audio loop, to where it is barely intelligible. When I get a chance, I'll
stop by the welcome center and ask . . . but the people there likely won't

to have been pulled today at the transmitter. The weather was gorgeous
today, so shouldn't have posed any difficulty to get out to the island

The recent solar flares made me realize that I had forgotten to pass
along a resource to my AM DX friends. There is a site
