There's an intersection about a quarter mile from my house where the car
radio gets overwhelmed by a strong noise. Sounds like a fluorescent light
next to the radio, both immersed in water, and it appears to be on all the
time day and night. I don't notice it at home. I don't know if it's the
Jim, this noise has been plaguing me as well. I scrolled through the
lower HF spectrum this morning and found strong, fairly wideband (10
+kHz) burbly QRN/QRM signals throughout the band from 2 - 7 MHz (didn't
look higher, but I've seen signals on 20 and 15 meters as well).
I find it loud on 4065

Sounds exactly like the problem I used to have when I lived in Rochester,
about one driveway's width from the neighbor on each side (2 apartments

confirm that my HP deskjet and mac books and pc laptop PS's generate broadband
hash in the HF range. Your neighbor(s) may also have these.
I am having a terrible time here with interference that is ruining my

Given the time frame involved and if you haven't added anything to your own
environment that could generate noise I would almost bet that your upstairs
neighbor has something that is generating the interference. What it could
be I have no idea, but I do have an 8 port router I no longer use becaus

Today we leave for the Utah desert where we plan to gather specific
