Ira, think that only refers to imported equipment.
The smoke is generally subject to a high import fee, so it's usually
pre-installed only in domestic manufacturing.

Thanks Tim, but I was always told that electronic items and the like came
with the smoke already factory installed. When you released the smoke, the item
was kaput. I guess I'd better take a refresher course.
