I think I've got the Voice of Russia on 1548 at 0450z. Not aligned with the
VOR audio feed on Delicast. But it's a man and a woman with folk music or
the like. Pretty sure I heard one of those Golos Rossii flourishes at

I just scanned the band a couple of times and found carriers on 549 675
684 693 702 747 756 783 837 855x2 873 909 918 972 and 1215. Most of them
were rather wispy. 702 and 873 were especially interesting, being a few
kHz from strong locals on 710 and 880.
963 continues to pop in and out with
963 is good on peaks down here in Seattle at 0408 with a woman in
Russian. I can see a bit of a carrier on 972 on the display, but
haven't checked elsewhere yet.

Not sure if this is R Sawa or not, don't think so as it is much louder than the
music a high pitched tone, 5 seconds on and 5 seconds off, this is very loud
and very strange, but it is definitely from 1548 and it is not CW as there is a
constant carrier.

Those were the call changes for the AM. I don't believe the FM was even
on the air that far back - but it, too, has had a call change, having
gone from WPGC-FM

Thanks for the heads up. Yes, KXET is fine here at S9 and SAH behind it
from I presume Seattle. 1130 Mt Angel is S9+5DB, so both are near the
same in signal. Seattle is dominant on 1150 off the NE EWE here. KXET
does sound weaker than it used to, or Seattle is stronger.

Bustos Media's KXET 1150 kHz Portland Oregon (transmitter Vancouver, WA) is
back on the air with Russian programming and parallel with KQRR 1130 kHz Mount
Angel, Oregon. Heard for the first time this morning while scanning the AM
band. Time was 10:35 A.M. PST. 5,000 watts sound good here in
HLAZ 1566 Republic of Korea still being heard at 1717 utc with a fading weak
signal. Women singing for the last 1/2 hour. I have never heard a TP this late
from a inland location.

somewhat from yesterday, with much less variety and strength.

1338 GMT 1053-ROK jamming signal, peaking at fair strength at 1343, audible at
1349.
Heard over weak singing at
Listened from 1405-1435 utc and conditions was up over the last few days with
carriers on 279, 558, 594, 603, 657, 693, 774, 1377, 1557, 1566 and 1593. The
only audio was on 279 and 1566 and they were just above the noise level at
times.
