I don't know if this is the last hurrah of the overnight DX, or
whether it's an indication of better sunrise conditions later on, but
some of the big guns have been doing quite well around 1400UT, and
there have been second tier stations like JOHK-891 and CNR1-945
making an appearance as well.
Very true here, too, Nick. A quick check of the band at 1415 revealed lots of
interesting TP signals, so sunrise enhancement may be quite dramatic-- if it
chooses to kick in.

Hello All,
Nick's report of good TP reception at 1400 was followed by a generous sunrise
enhancement here, resulting in several very decent Asian signals (especially
for January). 648-Voice of Russia had its best signal of the entire season here
at 1535 during its Korean language program,
For all the talk of conditions having deteriorated, this wasn't too bad a
morning for Asiatics, though the high band was weak. Things were reasonably
lively around 1400UT, and didn't really fade too much for the next 100 minutes
or so. Of course, preparing for the day took up some valuable DX

My logging from Saturday night January 12th during a HOCKEY game was WOWO

up some sports information and match it to what I heard.
Not a super special logging, but not too bad either. .I am pretty close to

Tom,
My comments are almost exactly like Todd's. As an Electrical Engineer (BSEE
'75, La Tech) with a 'concentration' in Communications Engineering, I am very
much interested in all aspects of radio wave propagation.
I look forward to your forecasts so that I can use them in my all-band DX'ing
